Joining Andy's LEJOG

We are joining Andy as he's midway through his Land's End to John O' Groats solo ride to raise funds for the Brick Homeless Project. We'll ride alongside him for approximately 5 miles on busy roads, before making our way back to Leigh via Cutacre country park.

Andy's Story:
In 2013 I lost 10 stone in ten months through getting active in the gym. Weighing 23 stone plus, hypertensive & pre-diabetic I was referred to the gym by my GP. I was heading towards metabolic syndrome. I suffered with anxiety, depression and addiction issues. I was withdrawn & signed off work. Within a year my life had been transformed and my medication either stopped or reduced. Nine years on my passion is now to help others improve their physical and mental well being through getting active & improved nutrition.
Who he's riding for:
The Brick is a community charity with big aspirations.
We help the homeless and people in crisis to enable them to become independent again.
"We recognise the affliction of poverty, we recognise its impact in local neighbourhoods and on local people but we do not believe poverty and trauma is inevitable."
