Keswick to Mungrisdale - Breeze Challenge Training Ride

Join us for an 23.5 mile ride from Keswick. This will be a ride on the road exploring the villages around Keswick. The route is all on good tarmac roads and cycle paths and will be suitable for all bike types. . This ride will be suitable for those wishing to build up the distance they ride. It will also be a great ride for more experienced cyclists. We will start from outside Keswick Pool and will mainly cycle along quiet B roads and cycle paths. During the ride we will pass through Threlkeld before continuing to Mungrisdale. From here we will return to Keswick passing Castlerigg Stone Circle There are stunning views of the Lakeland Fells on this route. Once we are back in Keswick we will have a well deserved hot chocolate and cake in a local café. We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. Our aim is for everyone to enjoy their ride and have a fun sociable ride in the company of other women, build up confidence in our riding in a supportive group environment, as well as ask questions about bikes and riding, and make links with others. Remember to wear clothes that are comfortable and suitable for the weather to cycle in. It is a good idea to bring a spare inner tube, waterproof jacket, a bottle of water and a snack.
