Starting point

Stirlingshire

We will meet at Kings Park for a leisurely bike ride to Dobbies and back. At Dobbies we'll lock up our bikes and stop for coffee. To get to Dobbies from Kings Park we'll use the lower path at Kings Park which comes out at Homesteads. The path is well-surfaced and used by pedestrians as well as cyclists so we'll be going at a leisurely pace. When we leave the park, we'll take the Homesteads Road out to where it joins the A811. At this point we'll join the path alongside the main road to get over the motorway bridge. Just after we've crossed the motorway, we'll cross the A811 and take the road past the houses at North Kersebonny towards Craigforth. The track to and round Craigforth can be a bit rough but it's only for a short distance and we can walk across the muddy sections if necessary. We'll then come out at the Craigforth carpark and will make our way to the entrance to the Craigforth business park. Here we'll cross the road on foot and head along the path to Dobbies. For the return journey we'll join the path which comes out at the Highland Gate and then pick up the traffic free cycle path which runs alongside the A84, A811 and the B8051 past King's Knot. Here we'll head into Kings Park and return to the Pavilion.
