Leaving Kirkintilloch at 10.30 am travelling towards Twechar and Auchenstarry Quarry and onto Falkirk Wheel, it's a lovely route and shows the Canal to its best. The surface is newly tarmacced and so is suitable for all bike types.

Leaving from Kirkintilloch Marina we will be cycling along the cycle path to Falkirk Wheel. It's a lovely journey along the Canal path via Twechar and Auchenstarry Quarry. Suitable for beginners this will be an easy paced run of around 10 miles to the Wheel. All welcome

The route is completely traffic free, there are a few quiet roads to cross and one busier road in Falkirk which has pedestrian crossing.

It is an easy paced ride where we can stop by agreement at any point, coffee and bun/ lunch available at Falkirk Wheel.

Please bring your bike, helmet, and water, a wee snack to keep u going. Warm clothing as per time of year
