Mirfield

Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They're up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour. Join us on this great mostly flat route showing the semi-rural side of Mirfield. To access the Calder Valley Greenway (NCN 66) we need to make use of some quiet roads but once on the Calder Valley Greenway you will be pleasantly surprised what a delightful traffic free track there is on your door step! We complete the return loop of this route back to Mirfield making use of the River Calder and the Calder and Hebble Canal. At just over 6 miles this ride is perfect for anybody wanting to get out on their bike and explore the local area. This ride uses part of National Cycle Network (NCN) route 66. To find out more about the NCN and other great places to cycle near you everyday, go to the Sustrans website (http://www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map/national-cycle-network).
