Kirklees Riders - Three Villages Plus A Park For Good Measure

The ride will leave Leggers and head along the Calder & Hebble Navigation to Mill Bank before passing through the Rectory Park and Thornhill Edge to Briestfield.
From there we will pass Charlotte’s Ice-Cream Emporium before dropping down through Dewsbury Golf Course to the Greenway.
From Dewsbury Moor the ride will proceed up to, and through, Crow Nest Park before taking in Dewsbury town centre and finally Leggers.
This is one of the hillier rides we do on Sunday mornings so please be prepared to accept the challenge.

This Sunday’s ride will head out to Thornhill, before going through Briestfield, Whitley, Dewsbury Golf Course, Mirfield and Crow Nest Park.

We will travel along a combination of canal towpaths, greenways and tarmac roads. We will encounter a reasonable amount of traffic on the tarmac sections so riders will need to be confident in those situations. Mountain bikes or hybrids with off-road tyres are more suited to this ride. Road tyres will struggle.

Helmets are mandatory for this ride.
