Slaithwaite

This is a simply stunning route showcasing the best of the Kirklees hills and valleys. Starting in the beautiful village of Slaithwaite this route has some tough hills but with that comes the varied and rewarding views of the Colne and Holme Valleys.  On the 21 miles the route covers, it takes in many local landmarks along the way, including the Standedge Tunnel Visitor Centre at Marsden - "the longest, highest and deepest canal tunnel in the UK". This route is truly one not to be missed for anybody wanting to stretch the legs and take in the best of what the area has to offer!
