Kiverton Waters to Clumber Park

30 miles is approx 3 hours riding time. However lots of photo opportunities and a leisurely lunch could add another 1 to 1.5 hours hence total ride time is an estimation of approx 4.5 to 5 hours. Starting at 9am we get back to the cars at approx 3 pm. Depending totally on how many stops we make.

Graceful Green Ride from Kiverton Park to Clumber Park. This is a relaxed easy paced ride along the side of the canal to Worksop, we then have a short distance on roads to join a traffic free trail through to Clumber Park. Stopping for refreshments at Clumber Park. Please bring a snack and drinks for when we stop half way in Clumber Park. There are cafes and these should be open from the 12 th of April, however at this stage we can’t be certain. Bike helmets are advised and please carry essential tools and puncture repair kit / spare inner tube and pump. A mask might also still be required. If we find a cafe open it might be useful to have money or card to purchase any refreshments, I am thinking delicious icecream or cake. We never leave anyone behind

Plenty of photo opportunities along this most beautiful stretch of the Chesterfield Canal, with many locks. This will require some walking to navigate the very narrow tow path alongside the many locks. Clumber park is a real area of beauty with a very large Lake and the many Rhododendrons provide quite a show at this time of year.
