This will be a circular route from Layham Garden Centre in Staple to the National Trust White Cliffs of Dover Cafe, where we will make a brief stop to enjoy the view and have a comfort break. Our main refreshment stop will be at the end of the ride at Layham Garden Centre; we have an agreement to use their cafe in return for free parking.
Our route takes us through the villages of Eastry and Whitfield as we head to Dover. We will then return via St Margaret's at Cliff to Kingsdown, Walmer and Sandwich. From St Margaret's you will get to enjoy a long downhill section - your reward for the hard work to get there.
Overall, the route is mostly on quiet country lanes and smaller roads but there will be some riding on busier roads so expect some interaction with traffic. The route is undulating with some hills and for this reason is graded as challenging and suited to stronger riders.
