This will be an open ride, and our first Saturday Ride. These weekend rides will tend to be longer than our usual Thursday rides.

L&D Hospital Carpark and we start heading towards busway towards Harpenden along the Upper lea Valley Way.

We will be starting from the L&D Hospital, travel along the busway and passing Luton Train Station. The real adventure starts when we hit the Upper Lea Valley Way. (Luton Greenway).

The Upper Lea Valley Way is a traffic free walking and cycling route linking Luton with Harpenden. A confidence building and easy ride. A ride packed full of countryside sights and scenery.

the way back we will follow the cycle paths and quiet roads towards Sundon Luton, parallel to the Woodside Link. The Woodside Link road is a great cycling route option full of scenery mostly cycling along hard strips, and a footway/cycleway. You’re riding next to the dual carriageway on but with ample space to cycle safely.

our rout should take us into Dunstable, Houghton Regis, Limbury Meads and Warden park.

Because it will be an easy-going sociable ride, we will go at the pace of the slowest rider. The full route follows a straight line so it’s impossible to get lost. There is a nice mix of shade and gently rolling hills. The scenery is especially beautiful in summer with its array of beautiful colours.

Now for the Covid bit….
Although Covid restrictions have been lifted we are asking all riders to be respectful to the other riders. Please do not attend if you have Covid symptoms.
