Le Sportif Ladies who ride

This is our first ride of the season, so it will generally be a more gentle one, on flatter terrain. As is usual on our ladies rides, we meet at Mud Dock at 9.30am for coffee and leave for the ride promptly at 10am. The route will take us some 50 km (that's about 31 miles) on country lanes south of Bristol. We will be leaving Mud Dock and heading out of Bristol through Ashton Court and Long Ashton, out on small country lanes to the edge of Clevedon and back through Kenn moor, Backwell and Bristol. Lockers and showers are available at Mud Dock, so you can leave a bag and change of clothes. There is also a discount at the cafe after the ride. To come on the ride, you will need a well maintained road bike (not a mountain bike or a hybrid) and a helmet. The pace on our ladies rides is approximately 20km/h on average on a route with a few hills (12mph). But the group is always very supportive and we do not leave anyone behind.
