Leeds - Urban Farm Adventure Ride - 5 miler

If you're fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. Come and join us on this family ride that's a taste of the countryside within the City. Starting from Moor Allerton Library and heading to Meanwood Valley Urban Farm, we cycle through Meanwood Valley into the grounds of the Urban Farm. The route takes us south on traffic free and off-road to Meanwood Urban Farm using Leeds City Centre cycle route 15. There is a small admission charge of £1.00 to none members for access into Meanwood Urban Farm so please remember to bring some change. We will spend a little time in the farm before making our way back to the start. Bike hire is available from Moor Allerton Library. If you would like to hire a bike please contact the library on 0113 3781881 or email [email protected] by at least the Thursday before the ride and inform staff the bike is for Sky Ride Local. Bike availability is limited so early booking is advised, Please note a short induction will be required at the library so please arrive 30 - 45 minutes early to accommodate this.
