Leigh Spinners Mill to Irlam Station

We will be leaving Leigh Spinners Mill via a short section of road before joining the canal down to Astley. We leave the canal at Astley and take the quiet roads across Chat Moss to Irlam Station. We will return via the same route.

This route involves canal paths, quiet roads, uneven gravel roads, farm tracks and cycle paths.

We will take a break at Irlam Station who serve hot and cold food and beverages

You will need appropriate clothing for the weather. Ideally you should bring cash or card if you intend to purchase refreshments, a spare inner tube, pump, basic tools and a puncture repair kit
