Starting at Blackleach Country Park, this gentle ride takes the alternative route around Walkden on the old railway lines, now cycle paths, locally known as 'looplines'. They are now peaceful green corridors for wildlife. Mainly off road, there may be some rough surfaces and be prepared to carry your bike up and down a few steps. A good way of getting to see some of the industrial heritage of Salford. At the end of the ride there's a chance to meet 'Dr Bike' who can diagnose any health issues your bike may have! Dr Bike is at Blackleach from 12 till 2pm and can do simple repairs and diagnoses for free.
