LiveWire Woolston Neighbourhood Hub

A very diverse route taking in lightly trafficked roads, some slightly busier roads and some breath taking scenery along trails and even crossing the Mersey via a stunning high level bridge. A 14 mile ride with some inclines but riders can go at their own pace. The route leaves Woolston along Manchester Road heading through Martinscroft. The route then takes us a short section along the A57 on a narrow paved route before we cross to access Warburton and head through the village to reach the Transpennine trail which we follow into Lymm where we will stop for a spot of refreshments. After a short break we will head back out onto the Transpennine trail towards Latchford and cross the Manchester Ship Canal using the locks or maybe even the Thelwall Ferry. Here we will then turn right and cycle along the trail through Woolston Eyes to arrive at Woolston Wier. We will then cut back through New Cut path to New Cut Lane and then head back through Woolston Park to the leisure centre. There is quite a lot of road in this ride unlike the previous rides in the LiveWire Ladies Series but they are lightly trafficked and have30mph speed limits.
