Made in the East End: A Muddy Good Ride!

After looping around the Hollow Ponds, we head through North Chingford and then on to our turn-around point at High Beech. This ride is 90%+ on trail paths.

This isn’t a very technical route, however, riding on trail paths does require good bike handling skills. You will need a MTB or Cycle-cross bike (with knobbly tyres!). There are a couple of natural turnaround points in the route for anyone who wishes to leave early.

Start/finish on High Road Leytonstone (meet on the pavement outside of McDonald’s)

No under 12's and under 16's must be accompanied by the adult who has booked them on the ride. Please dress appropriately for the weather on the day. All participants are expected to bring: • A bike in good working order with tyres pumped to the correct pressure. (If in doubt, have it checked over by a local bike shop or qualified mechanic). • Carry at least a spare inner tube, pump and tyre levers. • Dress for the weather. • A drink and energy bar. • Lights if there is any chance of poor visibility.
