From the car park, we will turn right onto the quiet back roads enjoying the scenery and gaining confidence on your bike. We will take the first right turn for a 4 mile gentle stretch cycling past the Gliding Club. The road is very quiet with little traffic. We will ride along to Akeld Stead's bridge, before turning around and retracing our route.

We will then extend the ride to Fenton where we will turn left and complete a 4 mile round-circuit. We then continue back towards the Maelmin car park.

This ride is ideal if you haven't ridden before, want to enjoy a gentle ride or regain your confidence.

There will be a social coffee stop after the ride at the cafe in Milfield.

A quiet flat ride in lovely countryside

The main route we are taking is smooth and easy to negotiate with few undulations and easy inclines.

We will ride for approximately 1 hour before returning to the car park area. There is an opportunity to go to the Maelmin Cafe (located in the centre of the village) afterward for coffee and a chat.

Please ensure you wear a helmet, bring a drink with you, and money for the cafe afterward.

First-timers welcome!
