Starting from - The start point is the free car park by Magor Square. You can usually park here but if not, there are 2 other car parks nearby in Withy Close and Sycamore Terrace and street parking is also available. Please note there aren't toilets at the start but the Magor services are only a mile away. NP26 3HY

We head out of Magor to Bishton via Llandevenny. Then we head to Langstone along the road past the crematorium. We then have a little downhill stretch along the cycle path before turning and climbing up and over Catsash hill (the shorter but sharper direction). From here we turn right and follow the road to Llantrisant and then on into Usk.
After our lunch stop, we head out of Usk along the main A road before turning off onto the B4235 and then we tackle the biggest climb of the route - the 2.5 mile climb up Golden Hill. At the top we briefly descent and then climb before enjoying the last 9 miles that are mostly downhill from Shirenewton, passing Llanvair Discoed, Five Lanes and along St. Brides valley back to Magor.

This is almost entirely a road ride on a mix of quiet lanes and some busier roads.

We will stop at the Willows garden centre in Usk for lunch

Please wear a helmet and bring along some money and a lock for the lunch stop. It is also a good idea to carry a spare tube just in case.
