A chance to enjoy the Oxfordshire countryside from Wallingford. The actual route will be decided prior to the ride taking account for prevailing conditions. It will likely be mix on-road and well surfaced off-road paths, ranging from approx 25 to 30 miles. No ride decided as yet but it will be a mix of country lanes and off-road paths such as the Ridgeway or through the Chilterns. Note the overall ride distance and duration will vary depending on stops for coffee, punctures etc, so allow up to four hours.
A mix of mainly quiet lanes and off-road tracks.
One cafe stop during the ride. There is also a variety of cafes and pubs in Wallingford to enjoy after the ride.
Check the weather and dress accordingly. You should also bring a puncture repair kit with either patches or a spare tube. Hybrid style or mountain bikes are ideal. Bikes with narrow, slick tyres may have difficulty with some of the off-road sections. All bikes must be in a safe roadworthy condition. Helmets are required and front and rear lights recommended.
