May the Weather be With us.

What this month’s ride lacks in miles, it makes up for in a variety of gradients!
But don’t be daunted – remember, we never leave anyone behind and always wait at the tops of uphill pulls for everyone to catch up and catch their breath.
We’ll start from the usual car park in Shipston at 9:30 and head off up the Campden Road.
Over the Portobello Crossroads we carry straight on and branch off towards Charingworth and Ebrington. It does mean going up Goose Hill on the way!! From Ebrington we head down to ‘Vegetable Matters’ for our coffee stop.
Homeward bound we return via Stretton on Fosse, then north and back to the Portobello Crossroads. It’s a circuit of about 14 miles.
The route is on lightly trafficked country lanes, so the risk is more about road surfaces than traffic issues.
Please check your bike to ensure it is road worthy, with good brakes and well pumped tyres.
Even in the summer daylight it is often useful to have lights on, so check the batteries are charged up. (That goes for E-bikes as well!)

The weather forecast looks very good for a bike ride at the moment, so do gear up accordingly. Whatever the weather, a properly fitting helmet is recommended – although this is not a requirement of joining the ride.
Bring a bottle of water and money for the coffee stop (not to mention some pretty good veg!)
I look forward to riding with you again on Saturday.
