Starting point

West Yorkshire
LS20 9PY

This is a circular 28.5m route with 1950ft of climbing. We will head in an easterly direction through Guiseley and through Leeds Bradford Airport before passing Adel St John the Baptist Church which is 12the century Norman church and Grade 1 listed. We will cycle the flat residential roads of North Leeds then dropping down to and through Roundhay Park before passing the, well known to me at least, Oakwood Clock. We now turn back on ourselves and go through Gledhow Valley en route to our lunch stop in Chapel Allerton which is now a bijou area but was not when I rented there in the 1970's. Our route back will cross 3 main arterial roads in Leeds and alongside
Meanwood Park before using more quiet residential roads to take us to Horsforth and then Yeadon before arriving back in Guiseley.

We will stop in Chapel Allerton where there is bike parking, indoor and outdoor seating plus a number of nice cafes and a Greggs for those who love their Belgian Buns!

Helmets are a must as is some hi-vis outerwear. Make sure you have a spare inner tube at least and that your brakes, tyres etc are in good condition. Check that British Cycling website has up to date personal and emergency contact details.

We never leave anyone behind
