Starting point

West Yorkshire
LS20 9PY

From our start point we head into Guiseley and make our way towards the airport via East Carlton. We then make for Cookridge en route to Adel, going past York Gate Gardens before going through Alwoodley and Rigton before crossing the ring road at a lights controlled crossing and getting to Roundhay Park. Passing through the 750 acres of parkland and lakes we exit towards Oakwood Clock and then along Gledhow Valley to Chapel Allerton and our refreshment stop which is at 17 miles. We then continue westwards through Meanwood before crossing the ring road again and making for Horsforth. Rawdon and Yeadon then beckon before we return to Guiseley and retrace our route back to the car park.

Loop eastwards from Guiseley through North Leeds suburbs as far as Roundhay Park and a return route that only duplicates itself in Guiseley.

All the route, apart from that in Roundhay Park is on roads which are predominately suburban or semi rural with minimal main road exposure. As to be expected there are hills on the way there and back.

The plan is to stop in Chapel Allerton at Paria Shop and Café which sells cycling gear and accessories. It is highly recommended on Trip Advisor but I will try it out first. There is bike parking.

Helmets to be worn with spare inner tube as a minimum plus clothing/sun screen for whatever the weather throws at us.

We never leave anyone behind
