Starting point

West Yorkshire
LS20 9PY

This is an all road ride with only 1% heavy traffic according to Garmin that takes us to Fewston Farm Shop and provides stunning open scenery and good road surfaces for the main part.
It is a clockwise loop going out via Otley and returning via Pool in Wharfedale that is 30 miles and with 2,500 ft
of climbs with Old Pool Bank being the steepest, and the last!
On leaving our start point we will drop down into Otley via the Chevin before crossing the river and heading towards Askwith before climbing up towards Timble. From there we will drop down between Fewston and Swinsty Reservoirs before reaching our lunch stop situated in the quaintly named Cobby Syke. We then make our way back, going out to Beckwithshaw before going through Stainburn and Leathley to re-cross the river at Pool in Wharfedale in order to climb Old Pool Bank. Once there we have a basically down hill ride back to the start via Carlton and Guiseley.

We will stop at Fewston Farm Shop which has indoor and outdoor seating, safe bike parking, a varied and reasonably priced menu plus a farm shop for all sorts of goodies.

Helmets are a must as is some hi-vis outerwear. Make sure you have a spare inner tube at least and that your brakes, tyres etc are in good condition. Check that the British Cycling website has up to date personal and emergency contact details. The weather forecast is for a hot one so bring some sun screen and liquids.
