Familiar route from Hirst Wood which goes up Old Hollins Hill into Guiseley and round the north of LBA before heading back into Horsforth via Cookridge. Back past Leeds Trinity University before going along the private road Woodlands Drive, former site of Woodlands Orthopaedic Hospital, which takes us to Apperley Bridge for a short canal trip to Esholt before re-joining the roads to Shipley and Hirst Wood.

Shortish, 23 mile route around LBA with a favourite coffee stop in Horsforth.

Mainly on quiet roads but with traffic free/light sections on Woodlands Drive and canal between Apperley Bridge and Esholt.

Haus of Coffee in Horsforth 13 miles into the route.

Helmets, high vis outer layer, appropriate clothing and spare inner tube/gunk.

We never leave anyone behind
