For regular participants it is a familiar route from Hirst Wood through Saltaire and up Moorhead Lane. We the drop down to go round Wilsden via Lee Lane before heading across the moorland towards Denholme and then on to our café stop. We will then head up towards Queensbury before dropping down an unmade round to the Queensbury Tunnel before taking the dedicated cycle path to Thornton and across the viaduct. We head towards Allerton before going through Sandy Lane and Cottingley to join the canal at Wagon Lane for a short section back to Hirst Wood.

Shortish ride heading westwards as far as Denholme and Queensbury to take in the mainly quiet roads and long-distance views as well as the traffic free cycle route from Queensbury to Thornton and across the viaduct.

Mainly on roads that are quiet but also traffic free sections between Queensbury and Thornton and on the canal back from Bingley. Unavoidably there are some busy roads to cross and occasionally use but for short distances.

We will stop at almost half distance but after six of the eight Garmin designated climbs at Robertshaw's Bakery and Café in Keelham.

Helmets please plus hi-vis garment and weather appropriate clothing. Spare inner tube as well.

We never leave anyone behind
