Starting from - The starting point of this ride is the small car park across the road from the ferry terminal. The island bus works in tandem with the ferry, so if anyone needs to hire a bike on the island, they can get on the bus into Millport and the rest of us can cycle the short distance to the bike hire shops. The route is the flat coastal road around the island of Great Cumbrae. There are numerous spectacular views and points of interest. The island is geared up for cyclists, and there are over 1000 bikes for hire in the island town of Millport. There are plenty of places to eat picnics, or purchase food in Millport. There is also a fantastic ice-cream shop and toilets at Fintry Bay, which is about 2 thirds of the way around the island.
