Fancy Dress positively encouraged!! A great meet up for our Be Well groups from different pods.
Come and join us for some fun on this mostly traffic free canal side ride starting from Hindley. We'll join the Leeds Liverpool Canal and including a section of National Cycling Network’s Route 55 through a section of Haigh Hall to Wigan.
The ride uses cycle paths, canal towpaths and quiet roads and is suitable for hybrids and mountain bikes although if there has been a lot of rain recently there would be some muddy puddles to add to the fun!! There are some lock gates to navigate along the way and a few inclines to climb (but we aren’t too proud to push if necessary) before a well deserved stop at Haigh Hall where we’ll meet up with the other Be Well groups for mince pies and mulled wine.
There will be plenty of rest stops and its advisable to bring along a drink and a spare inner tube just in case (if you don’t have one don’t let this stop you from taking part). Also please wear a helmet and make sure you have suitable clothing.
Please log on and register on the ride to secure a place. Any questions contact the group or post in the conversation tab.

Our rides typically take up to 1.5 hours, covering up to 8 miles. This is subject to change depending on the ability/experience of the group.

First-timers welcome!
