MK Millennium Winter Ride

This is a gentle paced ride mainly following the MK Millennium route. We will go at the pace of the group and no one ever gets left behind.

We will start at the Cricket Green car park close to the Cross Keys pub on the Newport Road in Woolstone. There is space for about 20 cars. We will head south through Woughton on the Green, then turn west up the hill past MK Hospital and on towards The Bowl. We continue north via the Millennium route past the Tear Drop Lakes, the Loughton Valley Park and then west onto Railway Walk running alongside the Grand Union Canal. At Gt Linford we then turn towards Giffard Park for a short stop for coffee/hot chocolate/cake at a small cafe off Knebworth Gate.

After refreshments we head south via the Millennium route alongside the canal back to Woolstone to the car park.

Please wear a helmet and bring a spare inner tube and pump, and ensure your bike is well maintained. We will carry out a quick bike check before we start to ensure our bikes are in a good riding condition. Please also bring some water to drink, and wear suitable clothes to keep you warm and dry.

You will be riding under the guidance of a British Cycling trained Ride Leader and Breeze Champion.

Out of courtesy for others, please do not attend if you are showing any covid symptoms such as cold or flu symptoms, cough, temperature, or if you have come into contact with anyone with these symptoms. Please bring a mask to buy refreshments from the cafe.

WEATHER: - I will keep an eye out on the weather, we will not go out if it is tipping down.
