START FAILSWORTH CENOTAPH/WAR MEMORIAL
This is a "guided tour" bike ride and at times the pace will reflect this.


Starting at FAILSWORTH WAR MEMORIAL this 16 mile ride visits Philips Park; the Etihad and the West End area of Ashton to look at a few of the monuments and memorials along the way. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time for safety checks.

The majority of the ride is along canal tow paths; bike paths and bike lanes with a few short stretches along roads

We stop at a number of places to hear about the stories behind the monuments as well as having a cafe stop (towards the end of the ride) at the Little Bun Te Room, Christchurch, Ashton.

You will need money for the cafe stop. You may choose to wear a helmet. You are responsible for your own safety. Please check the weather and dress appropriately.
