A fantastic circular route around the the rural areas of the beautiful cycle trails of our city. A few climbs and descents too some technical areas through the two woods we pass through.

Leaving tenpin heading towards the city on the new cycle infrastructure over to Bentley passing over St George’s bridge heading over to sprotbrough onto anchorage lane linking up with the newly surfaced TPT trail , we then head follow to sprotbrough village, might need to walk up the hill underneath the A1 motorway bridge. Making our way onto cadeby road passing through the picturesque village of sprotbrough village, we then have a bit of road quite road to cadeby village on our way down to the magnificent conisbrough viaduct taking in spectacular views coming down Cadeby hill. We head past the magnificent nature reserve of Martinwells lake circling around it heading up towards drake head lane then onto crook hill road towards our stop at the cafe at stringers garden centre. Our return journey takes us across farmland trails and beautiful woodland trails around Martin wells lake then back down onto dearne valley trail down warmsworth halt hill heading towards edlington pit top woods. Following trails through the spectacular sights towards the pit top cairn monument the heading down into the woods passing the hermit caves . Also passing the abandoned manor, staying to the perimeter of these fantastic trails around these woods, we head under the M18 motorway towards the equally fantastic woods of wadworth passing through to the picturesque village of wadworth we then cycle down towards the magnificent Amazon lakes then thru the potteric Carr nature reserve bridleway which takes us back to the start point takin in bessacarr grange the white path trail .

City cycling infrastructure, greenways TPT trails dearne valley old railway train farmland trails ,woodland trail, quite country lanes , small section of a busy road we after cross , full MTB woodland trails .

Our main stop in stringers cafe at the garden centre. We have areas of interest to stop to take photos especially in the woods the hermit caves and abandoned manor and the monument at the top of the pit. .

Helmets are advisable for this ride , bring tools and spares to repair a puncture etc, cas and card for cafe , bike lock etc
