Castle Semple Visitor Centre

The next Ride 63 route in planning is a mountain bike ride leaving Castle Semple Visitor Centre and heading up to Muirshiel Country Park, Hardridge Farm then looping back down to Lochwinnoch via Johnstone and National cycle route 7. The route has on and off road sections. In more detail... from Castle Semple in Lochwinnoch we will be heading up the Johnshill to Muirshiel Country Park on road. From the Muirshiel Centre we will go off road and follow a gravel track to Hardridge Farm, crossing two fords in the process. Once at the Farm we will head further along the B786 to Kilmacolm and return via the cycle track to Lochwinnoch via Johnstone. There will be the option to return via the B786 if anyone doesn’t want to go to Kilmacolm and also the option of a little light refreshment at the Pullman pub or at Castle Semple Cafe. This is most definitely a mountain bike or very sturdy hybrid kind of ride! Distance approx 50km. https://www.facebook.com/events/565189650310712/565189656977378/
