Mum & Tot Friday

A very easy going ride of around 10 miles along the Transpennine Trail from Penistone towards Dunford Bridge then back to Penistone. This ride is suitable for mum's wanting to cycle with young children. Children taking part in the ride should be Under 5. We will access how far along the trail we go, depending on the children's needs. Our ride will start at Penistone CIC where toilet and change facilities are available. Along with car parking and bike hire. Adult Bike and child seat/trailer hire are available from the venue on a first come first served basis and by booking in advanced by contacting Penistone CIC directly by calling 01226 872310 or visiting their website www.cyclepenistonecic.com. costs of bikehire are around £10 for adult bikes for 2 hours, Kiddy carts are £7 for two hours and seats are £5. Prices include helmets. Please bring with you on the ride, drinks, snacks/picnic and any essentials such as puncture repair kits and inner tubes (if bringing own bike and trailer.) Wear comfortable clothes suited to the weather, and bring a waterproof with you. For this ride Helmets are compulsory for all participants whether adult or child. Trailers and seats for children should be BSA recommended in order to take part in the ride. Please also bring money for bike hire payments and cafe after the ride. When registering for the ride, please register adults only, as the website does not recognise children under 5. Therefore all under 5's have to be in the aforementioned trailers or seats.
