Are you on the West London Breeze mailing list but never (so far!) come on a ride with us? Or maybe you’ve come with us years ago (we’ve been going since 2017!) but got out of the habit? This ride is especially for newcomers or returners.

** Regular riders: please don’t book this ride unless there are places available no sooner than three days beforehand! **

This is an easy-going local ride, approx. half of the route is off-road and traffic-free, on paths through parks and alongside the river. Some parts of the river path are a bit stony and bumpy, so you need a bike with good tyres, ie not a road bike with skinny tyres.

From Ealing, we make our way down to Kew Bridge, then follow the Thames Path via Barnes to Putney Bridge. We cross back over the river, and ride up to Fulham Palace for a refreshment stop in the lovely Drawing Room Café. We will also have time to explore the Palace and the gardens.

Riding on, we rejoin the river to ride through Fulham Reach, Hammersmith Mall, Chiswick Mall, and Duke’s Meadows. We turn up to ride through Chiswick House & Gardens, then join Cycleway 9 through Chiswick and back up to Ealing.

Easy-going ride along the river from Kew Bridge to Putney Bridge, then returning via Fulham, Hammersmith & Chiswick.

Half the route is traffic-free/off-road, on the Thames Path, bumpy/stony in places. Quieter back roads where possible, some short stretches on busier roads.

Refreshment stop at the cafe in Fulham Palace. Brief stops en route for photos etc.

Lock for your bike. Money/card for cafe.

We especially welcome newbies!
