Newhailes for cake!

From the Meadows we'll wind our way to Duddingston Low Road, where we may need to push our bikes a short distance, on through Duddingston village and past the golf course. Eventually we'll join the path in Jewel Park and carry on round by Brunstane train station. Route 1 will take us to Newhailes Road and in to the Newhailes Estate.
After our cafe stop we'll wind our way past QMU, to a hidden picnic spot (for warmer weather), on to Shawfair/Danderhall, through Little France and Craigmillar Castle Parks to the Innocent Path, through the tunnel and back to the start.
Expect very short sections of cobblestones, a very short section of gravel, and a little mud (cycleable, but can get off and push if necessary). And if course the usual potholes/poor road surfaces!

A steady ride to Newhailes Estate

A mix of shared paths, tracks, and quiet roads.

We'll stop for breathers and a cafe break at Newhailes Estate

Helmets recommended. Bring spare inner tubes and tools to suit your bike, cash/payment card, appropriate clothing to suit the weather. Have a plan for getting home in case you need to leave the ride.
