The Bike Centre in North Baddesley and Breeze are holding a Women's Cycling Event on the morning of Saturday 7th May. The bike shop will be providing free bike checks before our Breeze rides and free refreshments afterwards. We are running two rides during the morning. This Easy level one and also an Steady level one which will start half an hour earlier. This Easy ride will depart from the shop at 10.00 am. If you would like a free bike check please arrive in plenty of time - they'll be on a 'first come - first served' basis. This is a gentle ride from North Baddesley to Chandlers Ford and back. The route is a flat easy ride for new and regular cyclists, with plenty to see along the way. Our pace will be slow and steady to allow us to get to know each other and admire the views. The route is circular and we’ll use mainly cycle paths and quiet lanes. Any type of bike is suitable as long as it's in reasonable working order. You may wish to bring a spare tube in case of a puncture. The Breeze Champions will help with any mechanical problems as far as they are able, but are not trained or insured to mend your bike, and need to look after the rest of the group. The bike shop will provide free coffee and cake at the end of our ride. It's a good idea to bring some water with you. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part. If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then. We really welcome newcomers to our rides. They are aimed to get us back on our bikes again - whether it's months or years since you've ridden a bike, in a supportive atmosphere. We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. We look forward to seeing you there.
