Starting point

Nottinghamshire
NG21 9FG

The route is 2/3rd off road on bridleway, forest track, cycle route #6 and a bit of singletrack (dependent upon the riders) with the middle 1/3rd being on quiet country roads.

The ride is suitable for Gravel, Cyclo Cross, Hard Tail and Hybrid bikes with suitable tyres.

We head out off road from Sherwood Pines to the Southwell Trail. From here we use quiet country roads to take us through Caunton, Laxton, Walesby and Bothamsall before returning off road to take us to Clumber Park and back to Sherwood Pines.

You will need to be used to spending around 5 hours in the saddle as the route is pretty flat with rolling easy climbs.

You need to be self sufficient, we have one proper stop at around 30 miles in at the Broom Wagon outdoor cafe at Clumber Park. We have the potential to add another stop at 14 miles in at the All Mine Cakes by the Lake just off the Southwell Trail, though you need to have a table to be served and they could be busy. We will stop here but we cannot guarantee to be served.

We will take regular breaks to catch our breath but these will not be not be at catering facilities.

This is not a fast or paced ride, its a tour, steady and progressive through some beautiful rolling countryside.
