North Leeds explorer 7- 11 miles depending on group capability

The route starts in the Car Park at Meanwood play ground/park very close to Meanwood primary school. We will ride mainly on cycle paths off road, but also on some minor roads. The route will take in Meanwood, part of Headingley, up to Beckett Park College, through the fields at the back, down into Headingly and around several roads and off road cycle paths round and about the stadium area. Dropping back down through Headingley to Meanwood Urban Valley Farm, where we will stop for a drink. we will then bike back to Meanwood Park. Depending upon the confidence of the group members, we can amend and/or extend the route as we go along, to ensure we meet everyone's needs.
This group/route is perhaps a precursor to the slightly longer, more adventurous routes often also done on a Friday, which set off from Golden Acre Car park, in the aim of helping people get more confidence on their bikes and on quiet roads.
It is a picturesque route around North Leeds.
