Starting from the Timberlake Car Park off Radlett Road in North Watford this longer route goes through North Watford, Garston, Bricket Wood and How Wood to the Waffle House in St Albans where we can warm ourselves up with hot waffles and coffee or a full lunch if you feel like it.

Venturing a little further than previous rides, so starting a little earlier than usual!

A mixture of on-road and offroad, using tarmac cycleways and shared paths. It is suitable for all bikes although road bikes with slick tyres are not advised due to some uneven and slippery surfaces we will go through. Also if you have a fear of heights please note we do have to cross three busy roads via overbridges so if this a problem please don't book on as there is no safe crossing point at ground level. Contact the Ride Leader if you have any questions.

Please arrive by 9:50am so we can run through a riders register, bike checks and a brief on social distancing measures before we set off promptly at 10am. We are aiming to arrive at the Waffle House before the midday rush, and we should be back well before the light starts to fade. Please ensure you do have lights on your bike though, as visibility is very important at this time of year.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear a helmet as the route goes through some bumpy terrain. Don't forget a drink and a snack, a spare inner tube or two, and some cash or a card for the cafe stop and in case of emergency. Also please bring a bike lock with you for the café stop.

In view of COVID-19 we will be taking this into account with our ride leading and we will follow government guidelines. Please note the following:

• We will not share any equipment so please be organised and bring your own items eg drink, spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump, mask, sun cream and hand sanitiser.
• You should pay particular attention to your bike being in good working order before attending a ride so as to minimise risks and disruption to rides. We will do a bike check before leaving. If you need any small tweaks or repairs doing, ask at the Cycle Hub well before we leave.
• We will ride taking social distancing into account.
• Participants must not attend a ride if they have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms and should be isolating.
• Anyone who develops COVID-19 symptoms during a ride must inform a leader.
• Anyone who develops COVID symptoms after a ride must contact the leader who will inform British Cycling HQ who will then contact everyone who attended the ride.
Do not attend this ride if you have returned from (anywhere) abroad in the last 2 weeks.

All of the above is to keep us all safe from the virus.

You can contact the leader directly via the 'Message Ride Creator' tab in the ride posting on Let's Ride unless you have their direct contact details already.

Note: Let's Ride Through Winter has been extended. A tree will be planted by See.Sense for every individual who rides four times with Breeze and/or Guided Rides throughout January, February and up to 10th March!

Look forward to seeing you!
