Starting from the Timberlake Car Park off Radlett Road in North Watford, this scenic route suitable for mountain bikes and hybrids with offroad tyres, takes you on quiet lanes through Wall Hall and Aldenham Village to the beautiful Aldenham Country Park and reservoir. Here we will make a loop of the reservoir then enjoy a snack or ice-cream from the kiosk or cafe, before heading back via Bridleway 54 through some woodland, to North Watford.
Mountain bikes, hybrids with offroad tyres, gravel / cyclocross bikes are best suited to this. Bridleways and off road tracks may have muddy and uneven surfaces so road tyres are not suitable.
Stopping at Aldenham Country Park for snacks, ice-cream and toilets :-)
Please wear a helmet and gloves if you have them, as some parts of the route are offroad and the terrain may be bumpy. We will go at a steady pace, enjoying the sights and sounds of the countryside, but never leave anyone behind!
