Starting from - 10:45 for 11:00 start. The ride is suitable for all but the most fragile bicycles & riders with older bikes are very welcome. Meet at the galvanised gate atop the flood defence bank next to the cobbled bridge at the south end of Meadow Road (less than a mile from Beeston Station). There is free car parking on the road at Canal Side, Beeston, Nottingham, NG9 1NG & the car park at Weir Field Recreation Ground, Canal Side, Beeston, Nottingham (where Meadow Road meets the canal & turns right to become Canal Side drive over the cobbled bridge & then turn right), NG9 1LX

Predominantly using flat, car-free cycle tracks the ride comprises the Big Track cycle route with a diversion to incorporate the new Dr. Stewart Adams bridge & cycle path from Boots site to the Nottingham Tennis Centre:

The pace will be such that there will be ample opportunity to pause for a chat at points of interest.
The ride ends at Beeston weir where there are a couple of picnic tables & adjacent to the Canalside Heritage Centre where there is a cafe, both within sight of the ride starting point:
