We’ll start at Higher Ferry Bridge on Ferry Lane and follow the CNC 568 cycle route along the River Dee, enjoying flat and scenic paths all the way to Nets Café. After a relaxed stop, we’ll head back along the same route, keeping to shared paths and quiet sections of road throughout. It’s a steady, beginner-friendly ride with lovely views and plenty of support along the way.

This is a gentle, social spin designed especially for beginners, returning riders, and anyone who prefers a steadier pace. We’ll take things nice and easy, enjoy the fresh, wet and windy, winter air, and support one another along the way. There’s no rush, no pressure, and no one gets left behind. The aim is simply to get out on the bike, build confidence, and have a warm and friendly ride together. So grab your helmet and winter gear, wrap up cosy, bring a drink, spares/tool kit and get ready for a relaxed outing to a the Famous Nets Cafe and back.

We’ll be riding mainly on the CNC568 cycle route, following the River Dee on a mix of shared paths and quiet roads. The route takes us through the industrial estate on wide, easy-to-navigate cycleways before heading across the marshes boardwalk, which is flat and scenic.

We will have a few brief stops and photo opportunities, with a coffee stop at the popular Net's Cafe, so don't forget to bring some pocket money and a lock.

What to Bring: A roadworthy bike – tyres pumped, brakes working. Helmet – Is a must for everyone’s safety. Spare inner tube / puncture repair kit and pump – don’t worry if you’re unsure how to use it; we can help. Bike lights – front and rear, especially important for winter rides. A small amount of money or bank card – For the café and emergencies. Mobile phone – for emergencies.
