We are excited to be teaming up with South Down MTB Club for CycleFest at Queen Elizabeth Country Park (
https://www.hants.gov.uk/thingstodo/countryparks/qecp/visit-us/whatson/Y-CycleFest-2026) and offering 4 social rides. The morning rides are for riders looking for a little extra adventure, the 16km introductory route builds on the shorter (afternoon) course with additional trails, longer woodland sections, and a few more climbs.
The route offers a fantastic introduction to the varied terrain that makes Queen Elizabeth Country Park one of the South's premier mountain biking destinations.
Expect flowing forest trails, scenic viewpoints, and a mixture of smooth tracks and fun singletrack sections. With around 290m of climbing, it provides a slightly greater challenge while remaining accessible to riders with basic off-road experience and a reasonable level of fitness.
This route is ideal for those who have ridden off-road before and want to experience more of QECP's trail network without tackling the more technical or demanding routes.
All rides put on as part of CycleFest provide a welcoming and enjoyable mountain biking experience for riders 14-17yrs and above (accompanied by an adult parent or guardian).
NB Helmets are compulsory and please double check your bike is trail worthy before attending.
The ride is self-supported so please bring any spares you may need.
Rides are for adults and children age 14+ who must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian at all times.
