We are excited to be teaming up with South Down MTB Club for CycleFest at Queen Elizabeth Country Park (
https://www.hants.gov.uk/thingstodo/countryparks/qecp/visit-us/whatson/Y-CycleFest-2026) and offering 4 social rides. Perfect for riders new to mountain biking or those looking for a shorter challenge, the afternoon 13km introductory route showcases some of the best beginner-friendly trails around the park. Starting from the CycleFest hub, riders will enjoy a mix of flowing woodland singletrack, wide forest tracks, and gentle climbs that offer rewarding views across the South Downs.
With approximately 220m of climbing, the route provides enough elevation to give a real sense of achievement without being overly demanding. Designed to build confidence and skills, it offers a fun and varied off-road experience suitable for families, casual riders, and anyone wanting to sample mountain biking in a supportive event atmosphere.
All rides put on as part of CycleFest provide a welcoming and enjoyable mountain biking experience for riders 14-17yrs and above (accompanied by an adult parent or guardian).
NB Helmets are compulsory and please double check your bike is trail worthy before attending.
The ride is self-supported so please bring any spares you may need.
Rides are for adults and children age 14+ who must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian at all times.
