Old Langho, with an optional Painter Wood circuit

This ride is a 12 mile route round the lanes of Old Langho, Billington and Painter Wood. If people are not feeling up to cycling the full route, there is an option to reduce it to 8 miles.
We leave along Whalley New Road before turning down the lanes to Old Langho and Brockhall. Here we turn right past Northcote back to Langho.
Here there is a choice: either head back to the start point along the A666 or turn left again to head down to Billington and join the 3 mile climb up Painter Wood before dropping down Parsonage back to the start point.
The full route is 12 miles and 840 feet of climbing, the shorter route is 8 miles with 505 feet of climbing
