Potter on Pedals - Old Town Railway

Starting from Croft Sports Centre we'll head out through Intel and join the Piper's Way cycle path, we'll pass through Wichelstowe and onto Waitrose where we'll briefly join the canal before taking Peglars Way to the bottom of the Old Town Railway path. We'll follow this former railway path up a gentle slope until we reach Old Town where we'll make our way back to the start point.

This is a social ride where enjoying the company and views is very much encouraged. Ride leader Becky rides with her toddler in the childseat, little people are always welcome to come along for the ride. As with all our rides e-bikes are very welcome too.

A largely traffic-free loop around the south of Swindon incorporating the beautiful Old Town Railway Path/

We'll mostly be following paved traffic-free cycle paths, however the railway path is formed of crushed stone so more suited to hybrid and mountain bikes.

There are no planned stops en-route but there is Croft playpark nearby for any toddlers who'd like to join us for a play afterwards!

Under 16's must wear helmets, for adults we recommend wearing helmets too. Bring some water and refreshments if required. Check the forecast beforehand, it may be worth bringing a waterproof jacket!
