Daisy Nook Country Park

Starting in Daisy Nook Country Park this route uses the local roads to head out towards Alt Hill, where the climbing begins. Using very quiet roads this route meanders up some steep gradients to provide stunning views across the whole of Greater Manchester and our destination of Hartshead Pike. The tower teases us throughout as we head over towards Mossley before climbing more to wind our way upto the Pike itself, where there is an opportunity to visit the top on foot to take in breath taking views across the county of Lancashire. Descending back into the valley bottom before climbing back over Alt Hill to the Park Bridge heritage centre and village. Here you can take in some of the local history before continuing on our journey back to circum navigate Daisy Nook Country Park and our start point. This is a short route with lots of hills, that are long and steep, but the views are the best across Greater Manchester.
