Out to Laughing Duck

We will leave Barton and head out on country lanes and quiet roads to Yoxall, following quiet lanes we will head out to Armitage. We join a B road and briefly cycle on the A513 before heading back into lanes towards Kings Bromley. We rejoin the A513 for 2 miles towards Alrewas, then tuck back into lanes to the Laughing Duck. After a cafe stop we join lanes out towards the Memorial Arboretum and then head along Catto’s Lane to Walton, crossing the river back to Barton.

This 29 route will head out to The Laughing Duck at Fradley. The cafe stop is at 20 miles and so we only have a short ride back to Barton. The route has some hills as we make our way out of Barton, most of the climbing will then be over.

We will cycle on mainly country lane and quiet roads. We will need to cycle along short sections of A road however we will stay together as a group.

We will stop at Laughing Duck at Fradley Canal Junction. This is an open air cafe however tables have umbrellas.

A bike in good working order, spare inner tube, a helmet is strongly advised. Please bring a card to buy refreshments. The cafe does not take cash.
