Owslebury scarecrow search

This is our annual visit to follow the scarecrow trail in Owslebury, this year's theme is things beginning with ‘O’!
We will head out of Winchester along Chilbolton Ave and on to Olivers Battery. Pedalling along Poles Lane, back through Shawford to Twyford and up the hill to Owslebury. There will be time to take photos and try to identify the scarecrows. We will be stopping at the home of a local cyclist, who has very kindly offered to provide coffee & cake, before we get back on our bikes and return to Winchester.
The route includes a couple of challenging hills, and some main road, but hopefully there should be less traffic at the weekend. We will ride safely together as a group, cycling the hills at our own pace and taking a breather at the top.

You will need
A roadworthy bike & helmet
Kit to fix a puncture -tyre levers, inner tube & pump ( ability to fix it not required!)
Water
Suncream
Lock for your bike
