The route will leave Strathaven via Ardochrig Road and enter East Kilbride at Langlands Drive. We will need to avoid the cycle path via Calderglen due to ongoing roadworks so there way be a short amount of time we are on the road between Langlands and Glenfield Road. We will rejoin the shared use cycle path at Kelvin Road.

In East Kilbride we will use the cycle path, including the newly segregated path around the Town Centre. Some paths are shared use, please show respect and courtesy to other users of these.

Leaving East Kilbride at Nerston we will be using country roads. These do not have segregated cycle paths and we may meet sporadic traffic. Once on Hamilton Road and there is a cycle path however this is on the main road and unfortunately not segregated however ride leader will try ensure the safety of participants by riding at the back of the group.

The last stretch before meeting the GoBike feeder ride at Newton will be on the road via the estate however this should be fairly quiet roads, again the ride leader will be at the back of the group to maintain the safety of the group.
