Starting from - The starting point is a sliproad just off the A570 Rainford Bypass , close to The Elephant Indian restaurant, ive dropped a pin on google maps where we start from and it comes up as WA117TA , close to 428 Ormskirk Road , Rainford , St Helens . Starting point

The starting point is a sliproad just off the A570 Rainford Bypass , close to The Elephant Indian restaurant, ive dropped a pin on google maps where we start from and it comes up as WA117TA , close to 428 Ormskirk Road , Rainford , St Helens . We have started a few from here before . WA11 7TA

This ride will take us up the Rainford Bypass , East Lancs Rd , all on cycle paths , then we head up to Pennington Flash to have a look , maybe a go on the street velo track that will be there and open to the public 10am till 1:30pm , after this we will head up through Daisyhill , and then along the A6 and then up to Haigh Hall , then we head through Standish , then Gathurst , Orrell , and over Shaley Brow (the easy way ! ) , then we head through Kings Moss , Crawford , and then The Rainford Junction before landing back on the Rainford Bypass . This ride is around 42 miles with a few hills involved and suited to road bikes /hybrids /cyclocross bikes . We ride at a nice comfortable pace so we can chat and enjoy the views , please note we are not a cycling club , we do not race .
